Role in the Project: Typhoon HIL leads the Work Package 7 which encompasses various demonstration and validation activities which will prove the functionality and reliability of the DRIvE solution in terms of its effective and secure management of flexibility. The overarching goal of this work package is a unified demonstration and validation platform which will make it possible to showcase the benefits of the DRIvE solution to all interested parties, including decision makers, stakeholders and business which consider introducing DR to reduce CAPEX and OPEX. Typhoon HIL also participates in several other Work Packages in a non-leading role, primarily in the domain of developing explicit, i.e. fast, demand response protocols which make it possible for the qualifying DR assets to provide ancillary services to DSOs, BRPs and TSOs.
